This gritty recent photograph of scottish actor Brian Cox illustrates just how much he has changed since his memorable turn as Doctor Hannibal Lecter in Manhunter back in 1986. The photograph originally appeared in the UK movie magazine Empire in the July 2000 issue.

The slick black hair may have greyed, but those piercing eyes remain every bit as intimidating, as they were back in his cell in 1986 ! Perhaps we should be thankful that Cox will never play the chilling Doctor again after all ?!
