Stephen Lang stars as obnoxious "National Tattler" reporter Freddie Lounds.
Close followers of Michael Mann's other work will remember that Manhunter is not the only time that Lang has worked with the Director. He took top billing on the 1986 movie 'Band of the Hand' (Mann was Executive Producer on the project)
In addition to that, Lang also popped up in Mann's highly rated TV series 'Crime Story', which of course also featured fellow Manhunter stars Dennis Farina and Bill Smitrovich.
In the 2002 big-budget remake of Manhunter (Red Dragon) the slimy role of Lounds was played to equally good effect by the Oscar winning actor Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
