Norman Snow ("Springfield")

Little-known character actor Norman Snow has appeared in only a few films and TV shows since his short, but memorable performance as annoying police Chief "Springfield" in Manhunter.

"Prior to working with Mann, his most notable role was as "Xur" in the hit children's film "The Last Starfighter" (1984). Snow celebrated his 50th birthday in 2000."

"In 1979, Mr. Snow was in the supporting cast of the James Ivory/Ismail Merchant costume drama 'The Europeans', based upon the novel by Henry James that is set in 1850 Massachusetts.

Mr. Snow turned in an extremely compelling (in my opinion) performance as a young Unitarian minister, Mr. Brand. The film starred Lee Remick and British actor Robin Ellis."
