Background
For those who came in late, "Manhunter" is a 1986 film based on the novel "Red Dragon" by Thomas Harris. It was the first movie to feature the character Doctor Hannibal Lecter and is widely regarded as being a cult-classic (For example, the film was voted 41 in a 2006 Channel 4 program titled: "50 Films to See Before You Die"). Despite now being over 20 years old, Manhunter's unique visual style and career-best performances (from the likes of William Petersen) have ensured that it remains a firm favourite with fans from around the world.
