The original Manhunter soundtrack album was released in limited quantities on the MCA Records label back in 1986.

Due to the failure of Manhunter at the USA Box Office, the soundtrack was not granted a release on (the then new) compact disc format. This left it restricted to the 12" record and audio cassette editions. Both of these releases were deleted soon after, so the album is now one of the most collectable soundtrack releases around!

Personally, I have found that the outright most likely place to locate a copy is from an on-line auctioneer such as Ebay. LP and cassette editions tend to crop up on a regular basis and sometimes go for only modest amounts. Ebay is open to bids from *anyone in the world*, so I would highly recommend clicking on the links above.
